Oak Quarry Golf Course

My Word! Has it been that long? September 2010 was the last time I blogged! Well my New Year's resolution made in March is that I will post a new painting at least once (1) a week. You know what that means? I HAVE to create a new painting at least once a week. Well, that is my challenge for me. And the other challenge is getting a photo without the darn frame showing because the Blog does not enable me to crop anything. Live and Learn. So the photo gives you a hint of the beautiful gold frame it is in.

The painting you are seeing is called "Oak Quarry Golf Course." It was painted during our PAAR 2011 9-day Paint Out during February 19 -28 . It is a 12 x 16 oil on panel Plein Air Painting and sells for $600. The Paint Out was WET, cold, and a lot of fun! I became a seasoned Plein Air painter by this experience.

This second painting is called "Rain is Just Ducky," also painted during the 9-day Paint Out. We were at Jurupa Park and the weather was just dreary and dreadful. When you paint Plein Air you have to paint what you get. You can't paint a sunny day if it is raining. This painting is an 11 x 14, oil on panel listed at $500 in a beautiful gold frame.
